WHAT IS MOLD INSPECTION AND TESTING?

Our specially-trained home inspectors can perform mold testing during a standard home inspection. This service is performed by collecting air and surface samples with specialized equipment and then sending the samples to a local lab for evaluation. Comprehensive results are typically available within 48-72 hours.

WHY SHOULD I GET THIS
SERVICE?

Mold is a common type of fungus, typically found outdoors. Its primary purpose is to break down dead leaves, plants, and trees, and it reproduces via tiny, lightweight spores that travel through the air. Mold becomes a problem when spores travel into a home and land in a damp area. As it grows, it can damage the material it is growing on, and the spores can become quickly circulated and inhaled. Mold can damage a home and negatively impact individuals with mold sensitivity.

WHAT CLIENTS ARE SAYING

“After doing some renovations in our new home, we discovered a water leak that had been slowly happening and finally burst. Due to the extended water damage, we wanted to check to see if any mold was growing. We called Brown & Co to test the air and affected area. They were able to come out quickly to perform the inspection and delivered results from a lab in a timely manner. This helped us better understand what next steps needed to be taken. A huge reason I called Brown & Co is because I trust them and they did a phenomenal job during our inspection when we purchased our home. In addition, I appreciated a neutral- third party doing the testing. Oftentimes I find it difficult to trust someone who’s going to complete the job, knowing they might make it seem worse than it is to upcharge me. Having someone I trust deliver impartial information was worth it 100 times over! Thank you Brown & Co for being a trustworthy partner and helping with all my inspection needs!”
